The coin may have shifted ever so slightly. There are other parts of the design that are slightly uneven. The center of the device is also flat. It could be wear or the dies were improperly spaced causing the metal to not fill the die. The coin may have not chambered properly and then seated when the dies struck. Causing a slippage. There are quite a few scenarios that would cause your cent to look like it does. Whatever may have happened to your cent will not increase the value above market value.
