I don't know if that would command any premium (probably not much - if any), but it appears to be another interesting (if common) grease-filled-die coin, like the "ONE DIM" dime someone posted recently. Fun find, even if it isn't worth much. I like it. "IN OD WE RUST" is as funny as "ONE DIM". Maybe even funnier. Cool stuff.
When the Mint started the State Quarter program and designed the obverse with IGWT in this configuration, the grease-filled die eliminating the "T" and "G" became very common for almost every year and state. Chris
I did not know this. Will have to keep a closer eye on my pocket change, though now I have some difficulty with small lettering and mintmarks even with my reading glasses on. I have to use a loupe. I used to have "eagle eyes", but alas, that is no longer the case.
Oh, no! Have I unintentionally created a "new monster"? Now, Whitman & Dansco will have to come up with new album pages for the SQ's & ATB's. Woe is me! Woe is me! Chris
Don't worry. I don't have time to take out a loupe every time I get my change at Mickey D's. Heaven knows what sort of fun cherrypicks I've let slip past me...
Not much of a premium even it not hint of letters at all. It's caused by a die filling up with grease. Very common but a neat find.
