1848 Attribution

I won't use the "h-word" but I really, really do not like trying to attribute the Braided Hair large cents.

Do not strain yourself but if anybody is really good at it and can attribute this with minimal effort I would like to know to see just how bad I am at this series.

Yes and not mine either.

 

There are something over 30 varieties of the 1848.
I'll need pictures that are:
-- larger, and
-- a LOT sharper
to ID the Newcomb number.

 

I'm not sure you can use the term "minimal effort" when you are talking about attributing late dates. Especially in less than XF.

 

If you can't get that one by date position alone, you likely will not be able to get it at all.

 

I had it as N-6? How wrong am I?
