He said that this coin was at the top of the bag, under the tie, and a whole bunch of other jargin. Unless the guy, opened the bag? he could have, but I doubt it.
I'm sorry, but I don't believe that coin sold for $2,850. I've sold pedigreed MS64s with better toning for less than 1/4 that price.
Just like you, I don't think that coin sold for anywhere near that price. Maybe someone bought if for 1,000 (still a lot in my opinion) or the dealer just took it out of the case to make it look like their material was selling. Personally, I've seen some ridiculous prices asked at shows. Now I sometimes put up items for sale at high prices too, but these dealers would put my prices to shame. And the funny thing is, when I offered many of them my strong toners for 1/3 (or even 1/4) of their prices, they all declined.
Let's see if we can handle two posts at the same time. Go ahead and post your example @IBetASilverDollar @ddoomm1 can also post when they have time. This will be the official post and the @IBetASilverDollar post can be for points only but not posting privileges. When referencing a price, make sure to identify whose coin it is (if more than one is listed).
Sounds good. Here's one I love that I picked up a few months back graded 63*. Normal 87 63's probably go for $60-$70. Have at it! It may or may not be bag knotted, I'm not sure
I'll say 215 for @IBetASilverDollar ...to me it looks like end roll toning...and I like this one, but will say that the previous Morgan was more appealing to me (but not a few thousand dollars more appealing) Edit...forgot my own rule
Yeah it's definitely end roll toning and definitely not as nice as the other one which has a killer look
