Thanks to all of those who made positive comments. My coin has been shipped by fedex and I should have it in a couple of days. The more I look at the portrait the more I like it. My hammer will be ready.

In fact, one of the reasons I collect Galba is because of the 'majestic' portraits, and the variety of styles. The style of your coin is one I do not have and if I add another Galba to my collection, it would be like yours.

Wow @Eduard you have some amazing coins of Galba. What a wonderful collection. My favourite of yours is the Diva Augusta reverse.

I also have one additional Galba which you have probably seen before, but here it is anyway.

A little bit late to post my reply, but here is my second Galba's denarius.

I bought (won) it on CNG auction about 4-5 months ago. It's in my humble opinion more a civil war coinage than a imperial. When this coin was struck, Galba didn't yet "received" the purple nor recognized emperor by the roman Senate. Whatever...

Galba. AD 68-69. AR Denarius (17mm, 3.27 g, 6h). Uncertain mint in Gaul (Vienna?). Struck circa April to late autumn AD 68. SER [GALBA IMP], Galba, in military attire, galloping left, extending right hand / HISPANIA, bareheaded and draped bust of Hispania right; two javelins behind, round shield below, two stalks of grain before. RIC I 86 var. (obv. type left & rev. legend counterclockwise); RSC 76a var. (same). Good Fine, toned, light marks and scratches beneath the toning, some porosity. Very rare.
