I'm sure they will refund you the full amount. That is the advantage of dealing with someone of that caliber. Suggest you contact Sam Spiegel as soon as possible. Good luck.

I had 2 coins from Roma returned as non-gradable. They asked for them to be returned for a full refund. I've sent them back and have asked them to adjust the cost against my current purchase.

Just got email from Heritage auctions say those two coin are being sent to Hong Kong to be certified by Hua Xia. Let see what are come back from Hua Xia.

Note: The only thing I can find on the Internet is the Hua Xia BANK. If Heritage uses them and that is the Hua Xia in the above post they must be OK. I should have wanted the coins sent to The "new" NGC Chinese authentication service in Hong Kong instead or to PCGS (or to both) as they would have "skin" in the game if they slabbed a counterfeit.

Hua Xia is one the company that slabbed Chinese ancient coins . Here is link their website http://www.hxpingji.com/index.do
I don't think PCGS or NGC slabs those Chinese ancient coins.

Here is email that from Heritage auctions.

    Hello Mr Wu,

NGC does not certify any cash coins prior to the un-holed issues of the early 20th century. I believe your coins are being sent to Hong Kong to be certified by Hua Xia.

Perhaps it's just me, but I really don't like the "I believe" part. If in your shoes, and all things considered, I'd much prefer a direct and very specific answer.

If nothing else, you can be assured this is the truth. This is a trivial amount of money - to them - to be risking their reputation for. The outcome will also be a source of learning for them.

I don't doubt it in the least, but all things considered, I also believe you were owed a more specific explanation. The fact it is Heritage shouldn't free them from the responsibility of doing so.

You right , It not free , all the certified Fee Cost will be on my Bill if it come back as authentic , but in other hands it will cost me nothing if it come back as counterfeit . The more specific explanation will be those two Coins come back from China after
    certified by Hua Xia.

Does anyone know if any US company offers a way to send coins to the Certification service referenced in this thread?

You were already told by people who knew that this coin was fake. And then, it came back as fake. And now they are sending it to an "expert". How could it come back anything but fake? They should have done their homework BEFORE the auction and not after, in an attempt to cover their butts. This is a disgrace, and they owe you a lot more than a refund. At least an apology, and some kind of compensation beyond a refund. (But I doubt that.)

I think they don't believe other people saying , and that thy they try sending to expert now , i told them a lot coin collector say it fake, and I got email from Heritage auctions like this .

    Hello Mr Wu,

I checked with our Hong Kong office and they had those items authenticated in China prior to sending them to Dallas for inclusion in our catalog. I would be wary of the opinions of others on coin forums as they have not seen the coins in person as we and our colleagues in Hong Kong have.

So "ineligible type" doesn't mean it is fake, it means that NGC doesn't certify this type of coin. Heritage sent the coins to a grading service that doesn't grade these coins. I am losing confidence in them with every post.

Yes ineligible type doesn't mean it fake , now they are sending it to Chinese grading service Hua Xia to certification in china . They are more knowledge with Chinese ancient coins . I was sending those two coins pictures to others specialist with Chinese ancient coins to check if those two coins are fake or authentic , it costs me about $ 10 fee to check , the check come back is fake , so plus all the senior coin collector say it fake . So I guess heritage actions has hard time to get those two coins come back from Hua Xia as authentic from china , i will post more information until the coins come back from Hua Xia .

They suggested me to send to HUA XIA to certify, and promise that I can return if they give a different opinion.

So you going sending it to Hua Xia to certify? This coin sold only few hundreds dollars right ? I don't know if it worth to send Hua Xia if it was cheap coin .
