Yup, this is one I am embarrassed to say what I paid. I big time overpaid on this one... but that's ok, I love it! @brg5658 is the winner. I paid $797.50!
This reminds me of dealers choice poker. Ive had nights where the same people kept dealing the same game every go round. (I hate certain wild card games and would fold fairly quickly) Then when it was my deal i would play a non-wild card game and have way better odds of winning. These toned gold and world coins dont give me very good odds of winning. So i am gonna fold my hand and wait for the next round
OK, here it goes. Numismedia/Krause guide is $50 in MS60, no higher grade values given. PCGS price guide is $45 in MS64. 1938 San Marino, 5 Lire (NGC MS64)
I was at the ANA World's Fair of money last week and saw a lot of Toners selling for hundreds, one or two even a few thousand over grey sheet. I'm new to toned coins. Is there a general rule for the higher premiums or is it on a case to case basis?
I can end it here. I paid exactly $50 for this coin, shipped to my doorstep and already graded. @Johndoe2000$ , you're up next.

It's a subjective market where eye appeal really plays a big role. Each case is different and different collectors can have different views of what the value of a particular toner can be. In general the vibrant neon colors bring the higher premiums.
I had been holding back to make it fair to you guys. LOL. I need to pass again until I get a pic of only one or two that I own with any really decent toning. So... The next, (or fastest) person that wants to post a toner, go for it....
Ok, I'll do one I just SOLD. I bought it raw, and got it graded myself, so did not pay much of a premium for it myself. It was part of my toned Indian set, so I really wasn't wanting to sell, but he paid a decent price for it, so I sold. Now I have to find another nice 1913 for my set. These in AU usually sell for $250-$300ish.
