These marks both have die breaks below them (arrows in the second image). The marks are very slightly incused. Any thoughts as to what caused these marks?
That is strange!!!! There have been a lot of weird plating issues going on with the shield pennies. I have two that no one really can say for sure what it is. This one looks like he has a hole in his forehead and also looks like he crying. I found this one. I'm thinking this is probably damaged by a machine of some sort... but what machine, idk... lol never got a full answer to this one either.
