This is a continuation on my raw submissions to PCGS or Part II as I like to call it. Here is the link to my original post - The Morgan Re-Grading Challenge - Part I, for the background story which I will not go into here. I will say that I was much more nervous about this submission batch because most of these were purchased raw. I purchase my coins as if they would grade MS63-64. As you will see by the results, I was quite pleased. In my last posting the columns got all messed up, but the first column will be the date of the coin, the second column will be the original grade and grader or raw if purchased as such and the third column is what PCGS graded the coins. Thank you.

    1880/79S - Raw - MS65+
    1887 - PCGS MS64+ - MS66
    1887/6 - NGC MS63 - MS63
    1887-O - PCGS MS63 - MS63
    1887-S - PCGS MS64 - MS64+
    1888 - RAW - MS63
    1888-O - RAW - MS64+
1888-O Hot Lips - This was my very first coin that my Dad gave me. Was not aware that it was the Hot Lips variety until many years later. I originally sent it off to ANACS because I had a free grading coupon and it came back VF35 details - graffiti. This was total non-sense. There was no graffiti on the coin. Fortunately, PCGS agreed and it was holdered in a VF35 holder! Needless to say I felt vindicated and was really pleased.
    1888-S - PCGS MS63 - MS63
    1889 - RAW - MS63
    1889-O - RAW - MS63+
    1889-S - RAW - MS63
    1890 - PCGS MS64 - MS63
1890-CC - RAW Cleaned - Came back UNC Details cleaned - took a chance
    1890-O - PCGS MS64 - MS64
    1890-S - RAW - MS63
    1891 - PCGS MS63 - MS63
1891-CC - RAW - Came back UNC details cleaned. I was really bummed about this.
    1891-O - PCGS MS63 - MS63
    1891-S - SEGS MS62 - MS62
1892 - RAW - AU55 - was really hoping for a 58. Reverse is an UNC coin all day long.
    1892-O - ANACS MS62 - MS62
1893 - RAW - UNC Details Damaged - This was disappointing, but I should never have bought the coin. It was a guilt buy and I should have passed. Oh well.
1893-CC - ICG MS63 - MS62 - This was the one that I was most disappointed with as I felt that it could get a + grade or even a PL. I may crack out and resubmit.
    1894-O - RAW - AU55
1894-S - RAW - MS62 - I bought both these coins as a pair as AU coins so I was pleased with the outcome especially on the S. I paid AU50 prices for them.
    1896 - NGC MS65 - MS65
    1896-O - PCGS AU58 - AU55 - I was disappointed here.
    1897 - PCGS MS64 - MS65
    1897-O - NGC AU58 - AU58
    1897-S - PCGS MS63 - MS64
    1898 - ICG MS65 - MS65
    1898-O - RAW - MS64
1898-S - RAW - MS62DMPL - My only DMPL or PL out of nearly 80 coins submitted.
1899 - Old ANA holder MS64 - MS66 - This is my favorite Morgan because of the blazing colors on both the obverse and reverse. Absolutely stunning.
    1899O - RAW - MS63
    1899-S - PCGS MS64 - MS64

Aside from my big hits on the CC's, I am very pleased with the outcome of this batch. PCGS got nearly all their previously graded coins right and even the competitors. Thanks for looking. Joe

Attached are old pics that I took years ago. My photography skills are little to be desired. The DMPL really surprised me since I have other Morgans with equally as nice reflective fields that didn't even get a PL. Attached is the 1899 MS66 because that coin is phenomenal. All I have is an old picture which I will up load.

Here is the 98S DMPL. Really not impressive by any means.

Once I get the money saved up I will ship off my last and final round III of Morgans 1900-1921 for grading. Then on to the Walkers.....that will be interesting. Ugh.

Isn't it sad how these coins are worthless outside of their plastic prisons?

Says something about the competitors. They are not as bad as everyone says they are.
