1976-p Washington Quarter weighs six grams

    Quarter: 5.67 grams.. is the normal weight for the US Quarter
    The weight for your coin seems to be within tolerance. Probably struck on a slightly thicker than usual Planchet.

    A true overweight would be something like 6.88
