Hi, I myself am often an avid chess player but I don't understand the meaning of a Commemorative brought out 6 years after the event. I do own a couple of Yerevan 1996 100 Dram pieces from the chess Olympiad that was held there. Thanks for the links, I find the coins interesting but I am not sure about the pricing...
Thanks again Clinker. I was beginning to go through withdrawal waiting for the next installment of my Clinker trivia.
I was wondering the same thing. It's too time-consuming searching for all the pieces on this site. That could help a lot. Guy~
Here is one thread that is made some time ago: http://www.cointalk.org/showthread.php?t=28506&highlight=chess I don't mind hosting these trivias on my site if you don't mind
Maybe it's my computer but I get nothing with this one link. It says not available. As to Clinker's Trivia, I've said this many times. I print out most of them and have actually started a few large 3 ringed binders of the better, or ones I like, articles. I've got a problem with the ones with two many links to other places. In the future I'm afraid those links may not exist making the article basically worthless. Therefore, I basically only print out the ones that are more self explanatory. It sure would be nice if thiere was a separate permanent post of Clinkers Articles though. Like those sticky things. If so, in some type of order for fast referencing. Note that so many of these are lost after a few weeks and probably gone forever after a while or just not easily found.
gxseries No, I just find the info, write it down, prepare the article, paste it in the "thread window" and check it constantly for comments... I don't do this for fame or fortune, just to shsre what I fund and learn... Clinker
And I'm not alone in my appreciation of you doing this. I'm never sure what to expect either, as you have a wide variance of topics, too. I go through withdrawal if it goes too long without my Clinker trivia!
Carl it's because that link is the result of a Search, and search links are only good for that day. But the neat thing is, exactly what you asked for - a complete list of every trivia post that Clinker has ever made - can be found all on one page by anyone who chooses to search them. It's quite easy, all ou have to do is click on the Search button at the top of any Coin Talk page. When you click on it, it opens a little window. At the bottom of that window you will see Advanced Search - click on that. When the Advanced Search window opens there is box on the top left that says Search by Key Word - type the word trivia into that box. The top right box says - Search by User Name - type the word Clinker into that box. Then just hit your enter key and you will be taken to a page with every single trivia article Clinker ever posted. Don't try to save the link because it won't work. But you can do the very same thing any day you wish and you will always end up at the same place. That's why we don't need sticky pages for everthing on the site - because you can find anything you want by using the Search button.
