So last year I picked up an auction lot from an unclaimed safe deposit box auction. I finally got the note authenticated, graded and my LCS sent me these from the ANA show where it was finally graded on site.

This is my best trophy score in all of 2016. From what I have found - Steve Wynn *never* signs autographs - so what I have evidently is quite rare! IMG_2683.jpg IMG_2681.jpg IMG_2682.jpg

    Enjoy!

Congratulations! That's pretty neat how they can imbed a piece of synthetic DNA for authentication purposes. And as a side note I recognize some of the coins in the background from my eBay trawling. Small world.

Interesting that the obverse is the back. Reverse the front.

Reverse is the side which contains the very difficult autograph of a prominent personality. Just like putting the toned side front on a textile-toned Morgan. :)

I did that on purpose to show off the autograph.

I've turned down offers far in excess of that already. ;)

PSA/DNA marked that PCGS currency holder with a hidden mark? That's neat!

This makes me think... if you had a slabbed baseball hall of fame silver dollar with the label autographed by a player, then would PSA/DNA mark the slab and certify the signature? Dealers and sellers can go crazy with that, and get it CAC stickered, too lol.

It's one thing to physically but invisibly mark the bill or card, given they will absorb the marker. How do you mark a coin?

I think they mark the slab / holder. At least that was my impression, since it seems that the note was graded and holdered before the signature was authenticated (without removal from the holder).

Both the letter and their literature talk about tagging the item.

The item is the banknote itself?

If so, was the note submitted holdered and returned with the holder opened?
