Not "Coins in Movies" but an exciting new topic.

Today I was watching on the Turner Classic Movie Channel an old film called "Night into Morning".

Ray Milland was a college professor who wife dies and he decides to join her.

The leading lady was Nancy Davis who played an administrative assistant who talks him out of it.

So today I receive an advertisement from the US Mint with a picture of Nancy Davis on a coin.

I had forgotten that she was Ronald Reagan's second wife.

When I saw the subject line and before I read your post I immediate thought of posting a Reagan golden dollar. But you kind of beat me to the punch.

 

On the Lynchburg commemorative half dollar, a Sir Walter Raleigh is on the obverse. However the model used for Raleigh was actually Errol Flynn. Hopefully he was sober when he took the pose.

 

Elvis coins are all over the place.

 

I think those Elvis coins are likely rounds or metals in a pure numismatic sense.
