I was searching for the 1995 D DDO still like its easy to find. This coin popped out at me. This is mechanical doubling correct ? Just trying to categorize things correctly. And until I get them right I won't trust my decisions on them. Thanks for any help.
I need one more clear picture of the date and mint mark. Try cleaning the outside of your camera lense first befor you take the pictures. Looks kind of like it though
I've been trying with all these different loops. I've set my phone to different pix and everything. Maybe you know which one will be best for this application. Ill screen shot choices
Here's my 4 attempts. This is a brand new phone and supposed to be great camera but I'm having issues still. I am color blind slightly so I think that may have something to do with it. I don't see a lot of things that most people do. The old posters that you stare at and you see a building or some object... Yeah, I have never seen the object. Or 1 of the E's in the colorful box during eye exam. I think I got 1 out of 12 or something.
Okay here we go. Some of these should be getting better. Different coin. I was just trying with a 17x loupe
Maybe feeder finger marks. Maybe die polish lines. I'm thinking feeder finger. Cool error!!! I have a 95 P with feeder finger marks on rev.
Here is the reverse and better of the front. Sorry I did not get notifications that anyone responded.
Man this coin is strange. That mint mark looks like it could be doubled but I don't know about the rest of the coin.. those little lines that radiate from the letters tell me it's most likely deteration doubling. But I really can't be too sure. I'd say I'm 85% sure this is deteration just because of those lines.
I saw a paragraph on "trails" behind letters but forgot where I saw it or what they said caused it. Ill do some digging. All the 1995 D's looks doubled s9mewhere to me. Ha. I know Rick or Paddyman is lurking and laughing at us cause they know the answer.
This is a totally different coin but from the same roll. The 5 looks like its doubled to me. That roll produced a lot of coins that definitely made me stop and look twice. It doesn't take much for me to stop and check it out though. As you have seen.
