I've been wanting to show off my collection just because to see if people think it's alot little rare common or that sort of stuff plus I don't have many people to show it off to around me so thanks for looking guys here it is sorry for horrible lighting I can never get it right unless I'm outside and I don't feel comfortable with taking them all outside.

Nice variety of stuff Jacob! Seems like you are collecting some interesting coins with nice appearance. Do you have any thoughts of specializing in any coin?

You've got more than a good start!

If I can suggest something, buy some airtites.

Another suggestion is to get some 2x2 pages you can put the foldover 2x2's in.

I took this page from someone on CoinTalk

Off to a very good start!

Looks like you like quarters and nickels, which are great sets. Looks like all but two of your Buffaloes have dates, which is nice!

Personally, I think air-tites are too expensive (about $1 each), and can end up being the most valuable part of a collection. I only use them for relatively higher value coins that aren't graded, or going to be sent in for grading.

I use the 2x2 cardboard flips, and the pages @Kentucky has in his photo. You can get the Whitman pages from Walmart for $4.39 for 8 pages, if you don't have a local supplier. One pack of pages will hold 160 coins. Binders can be bought anywhere for a few bucks.

Keep going, I see lots of silver in your future!

Haha thank you all guys I really like hearing what I have is a good collection also mad stax what would you say its worth estimate wise I'm never gonna sell it just curious. Also I got started when my dad gave me a few coins when I was young and I've been just throwing stuff in there whenever I find it with my brother but then I found 2 Mercury dimes in the bottom of a coinstar and got into it from there also that full jar still isn't in my collection! That's about one months worth of finding change and looking through change so ill update this when I get the rest split with my brother although I collected all of it he just claims he collected some of it so supposedly he gets half.

    Thanks,
    Jacob

Hello Jacob, I wouldn't be able to accurately appraise it all, I'm not that experienced (yet at least ).
I can give you links to a couple of sites that i use though, both are frequently updated, the first is good for finding out current intrinsic value of a certain quantity of coins, and the second link is good for figuring out current market values and introducing you to basic grading skills:
    http://www.silverrecyclers.com/Calculators/coin_calculator.aspx
    http://www.coinstudy.com

I hope those links will help you out a bit.
Enjoy the hobby, look forward to seeing you continue to build your collection.

    Jacob,

    Again, a really nice variety!
As a start, I would buy a bunch of 2x2's of different sizes, and some sheets to store them in and. A metal 3 ring binder. They will stay safe for awhile. They when you start getting more coins of higher value you might want to consider airtights. However, I would not buy air tights right away as they are more pricey.

Can't say for sure what value - but all of the silver items are always worth at least silver content of the coin. I like the variety also and am starting to do the same thing with older dates which will eventually turn into a type set. I like the idea of an album with 2x2's - what I use for some of my coins.
