    Does look rather mushy, as if cast ... or just poorly struck? I don't know.

    Not my collecting area, so tank this with a bit of salt, but it looks ok to me. Can you ID the coin. If the seller can not, do not buy from him / her. Post an obverse and coin info like size, weight and lettering that you can read. How does this compare to other examples?
