Thanks- was a bit of a gamble as the seller didn't offer returns and I wasn't certain about the surfaces from their pics (a).
It is quite disheartening to have the dig there, but I can still easily double my money or more. It is a completely original coin with no other problems.
That may not be that easy.....as a h-10 collector I wouldn't pay over $50 since it's detailed. Yes true great shape natural, original skin, but a hard sell you see the area damaged is an area used as a pup of the marriage. Next there aren't many half dime collectors....best bet would be finding a buyer looking to fill a type set slot. Or perhaps a collector who looking to do a die marrages of bust half dimes. However this one is the most common of the 16 for that year.
$50 is still a profit. But I wouldn't sell it to you since you actually know what you are doing. Ebay bidiots love "details" coins.
