What happened to David Connors on Vcoins?

I was looking at coins on his shop, but suddenly it disappeared an redirected me to the front page. Now when I click on the link it doesn't work.

I've known Dave for over 20 years. Some time ago he had mentioned he was going to quit. I'll e-mail him and see if he has anything to say.

 

Oh man. He had a few items on my watch list! If you snooze you lose I guess I hope he's alright and just decided it was time to retire.

 

Interested to know

 

I have bought lots of good stuff from him for very reasonable prices.

He should have a big sale before closing down.

 

Ive gotten about 5 coins total from him. Was usually slow to ship or had to be reminded. But the coins themselves for good.

He's another of my favorites who's absent from the VCoins dealers list. Beast Coins is gone too.

 

Wow, I didn't realise Beast was gone too! The last coin I bought from Zach was in 2015. How time flies!

 

ECIN is gone as well. Anyone know what happened to the owner Michael?

 

Hookmoor's gone too. There seems to have been a mass exodus at about the same time. Are retailers disappointed with something going on at VCoins, or is all this just a coincidence?

 

I was wondering the same thing.

None of these sellers were ones I "followed" (I didn't get automatic notices of new coins, although I browsed all of their stores somewhat regularly). Did any of you "follow" any of these sellers and if so did you receive a going-out-of-business notice or online relocation notice?

 

Holding history left sometime last year. I used to talk to Bill Rosenblum regularly at shows and he expressed dissatisfaction with their subscription pricing once you've sold over a certain amount the fees increased also. I can't speak about the others that left, and I'm sure things have changed since I left in 2011.

I purchased 2 coins from him 10 Days ago, and yesterday he sent me a personal e-mail saying that he had to leave town very unexpectedly and orders will be delayed for a few more days. He said I will get my coins in a few days also. It was a short e-mail, but that is all I know.

 

The missing dealers may return in the future. They may have taken a break or have gone on a cruise or something.

I just watched a couple. Wow. He is smart! And fascinating!

 

His book sounds interesting and worthy of a read, but alas, I just dont buy paperbacks.
