Ok, I paid $50 for this one as a buy-it-now on eBay (plus $2.67 shipping... so I'm cheating).

That reminds me of another U.S. Type that I need to start expanding on... thanks a lot @C-B-D ;-)

    Beautiful coin.

No you are not cheating. Shipping is not included in the purchase price. I had set that in the rules in the beginning. :)

You stole that!!! It looks low AU from the images. Does it appear cleaned in hand?

It looks like an AU53 in hand. I think I see some hairlines on the obverse, unfortunately, but the reverse is perfect and untouched. Still, I have a hard time determining old cleanings despite all my years of doing this. Almost every order I send to PCGS and NGC, seems like there's at least 1 coin that gets detailed for cleaning. So this year I've been more conservative with what I send. This one will be sold raw.

Then I still cheated by 1 cent. ;)

The seller wasn't a coin person, and all the description said was, "Yard sale find."

You bought it while I was stuck in a Dynamics final. :(

The degree will pay off more than the coin. ;)

No way!!! Barely used underwear is the best deals to find.. Usually they are a little more worn than you'd like. LOL

Usually when I find coins at yard sales they want full retail price for them.

No. They typically either want way to little or way too much because they have no idea what retail price is or even what they have lol

What is going on around where the mint mark would be? It looks like solder.

I asked if the dealer, if he had the D, he said, he barely nudged it and it fell to the carpet?

Either way, it is off the Market.
