Hi all: Have any of you purchased slabs from this company? If so what is your take on their product? They say they are PVC free!

I find 2x2 coin flips from the coinshows for 4 cents each to be more than sufficient. I would pass on those generic slabs!

I have never heard of them, but now we know where Abon and SGS shop.

I'd like to see one in hand, first.
Not a bad deal, if they are good quality.

I'll stick with 2x2s and the occasioanl Captiol holder.

Wonder who they are comparing prices to? Prices seem reasonable but the holders look pretty cheap as well.

I was researching them today, I think they are from - http://www.collectorsafe.com/.

I think these are the same holder company you see for most trading cards.?.

Price is not to bad, cannot tell you much else.

Not a bad price on the blank pages either. I kind of like those holders, though, I just don't think I'd have any coins worth enough to bother putting them in them though.

I just bought 400 of these (mixed sizes) for $130. I am using them for a very specific project where I need to make soem customized slabs fro edge-lettered coins. They are made by (for) Miller Hobby, whoever they are. They are made in China, and the quality is OK - not as good as "real" slabs, but I was pleasantly surprised. They do mention that they are "archival", but then again poison food and lead-painted toys have come out of China in recent years so who knows.

I would not necessarily buy these for routine storage - better options exist. But if you have a special need for slabs, these are OK and the price is right.

Never heard of them either. If made in China, I'd really be afraid of what they are made of. Note after all the Lead stuff, PVC could be used and so what for them. They could make them out of dynomite and no one would know until too late. No, I too will stick to stuff I see at coin shows. However, who knows where that is made. I always remember many years ago when items were labed "made in usa". As it turned out they were made in a town in Japan named usa.

I agree that you should proceed with caution, but I would guess that most holders are made in China. Even maybe the ones used by the top grading services.
