Love Chrissie. She was a big Kinks fan from Akron, Ohio that moved to England and got the ultimate souvenir from her idol Ray Davies in the form of a daughter named Natalie.

Whenever I hear this song now I can't help but to associate it with The Devils Rejects.

    Great Music .
Reminds me of my young days .
It's before my time, but I was born in 1963 and I lived in the suburbs of Detroit . This stuff played on the recorder player til the 70s .

Great time, that's for sure ..

"Stay" was written by Maurice Williams and was first recorded by him and the Zodiacs in 1960 but was popularized by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons in 1964. A lot of musical talent came out of those "Motown" musicians and songwriters. I can't even begin to mention them, there are so many.

I was born in '63 and my introduction to "Stay" was the Jackson Browne cover as part of the "Load-Out / Stay" cut on "Running On Empty".

Hm. There wasn't a dollar coin the year "Lola" was released. Apparently, 45s cost $1.00 in 1970. So, sadly, you couldn't purchase "Lola" in the US with a dollar coin in 1970.

Jackson Browne rocked. You and Rick were born at the start of the "British Invasion." You two probably don't even remember where you were when Kennedy was shot, do you? Lol. I had an 11-year head-start on you gentlemen, I was in my 5th Grade class.

You are right. I was a tot when JFK was shot. I was born to parents that were in their early 40's (.... oops) and had four siblings that were at least nine years older. My dad bought into the "stereo" concept and had a great tube rig that was the center of the living room earlier than most. My three brothers and a sister all had different tastes in music so I got a good exposure to a wide variety that I carry through to this day. I literally have thousands of records and vinyl that I listen to daily.

Aw, that's beautiful. I have a lot of my vinyl, still, but nothing to play it on. I refuse to let it go, though! :)
