    Ordinarily, I don't like to speak to people who choose to remain @Anonymous, but since I don't speak anything but English, I guess I don't have any choice.

    Your coin is suffering from extreme die deterioration. It makes it worth 10c!

    And it ESPECIALLY seems to have happened a lot in the early half of the 1980's. The working dies were worked hard and even the hubs from which the dies were made were overdue for reworking. The next rehubbing took far too long and resulted in the low relief blecch hubs of 1992-98 that among other things gave us spaghetti hair Washington Quarters.
