I ran across this Medal today, And at least would like to find out who this woman is, even if you haven't seen anything like it before, it supposedly has come from a pretty reputable Estate. I haven't bought it! but would like to if I cant find any more history about it. It is approximately 4" across and is either plated steel? or, Bronze? Sorry for the terrible cell pics.

I was about to say - 'uxor' is wife, so wife of 'imp' (emperor) Nero makes sense. Clearly a modern piece, but interesting.
It's Poppaea, the wife of Nero as depicted on this Alexandrian tetradrachm: Nero and Poppaea Sabina, his second wife Billon Tetradrachm; 23.1 mm, 11.55 g Alexandria, AD 64/65 Obv: ΝΕΡΩ ΚΛΑV ΚΑΙΣ ΣΕΒ ΓΕΡ ΑV, radiate head of Nero, right Rev: ΠΟΠΠΑΙΑ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΗ, draped bust of Poppaea, right, LIA (year 11) before. The whole thing? My vocabulary isn't good enough to read straight - I'd have to sit down with a dictionary and it would take a couple of hours. From what I can make out, it's something about her being held in high honors, and seems to be a biography.
I was catching little bits and parts, that seemed to be pointing to her life, but, couldn't put it together either, Thank you!
