The styling of that portrait is so unusual it makes me immediately wary it's a fake. I have never seen Gordian depicted like that before---It's far too cartoonish!!
Because his rare inaugural issue as Caesar under Pupienus and Balbinus is quite collectible. Definitely a (21st Century Bulgarian) fake in my eyes.
