Love your new Vespasian with its distinctive Ephesus style. You sure have an eye for picking them! Congratulations, Andrew!
Many thanks Eduard. Your kind comments are always appreciated. On another note I was just shopping in the Marianplatz. Munich is lovely.
I saw it come up at auction and immediately wondered what you thought of it. I can't think of anyone who would appreciate it more or is more deserving of it than you, Orfew. Congrats. [BTW I was not a bidder for it.] Now, what was that 5% "import surcharge" about?
That's a very artistically-engraved wreath. How often do you get to say that about a coin? Wreaths are usually pretty generic. The bust is also magnificent.
@lrbguy Thanks so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I only got charge a 12% auction fee plus shipping. A good amount lower than the normal fees.
Just found another photo of my coin. It was on Acsearch, but it is listed as RIC 1452. According to RIC, 1452 has a star within the Oak wreath. So here is the auction photo and then the acsearch photo for comparison. What a difference a photo can make.
