I'll say 4x guide on that, so $160. Not too often you see that neon orange color on a naturally toned coin.
I'll guess $100 since its reverse toning and missing the colors that get the crazy premiums for morgans usually
@Volante nailed it! The price was a few cents under $160. I would have certainly liked to pay less, but the competition was fierce and there was no chance this was going under 100 (in fact it reached 100 several days before bidding ended). It's likely the best AU Morgan I have seen and the eye appeal is on par with 64/65 graded pieces. @Volante you're next.
Well given how horribly wrong I was on all of the previous coins, I guess I can just say that a broken clock's right twice a day! Shifting to a different series, here's a 1946-S MS-65 Walking Liberty half dollar. Market price in this condition is about $90. Any guesses as to how much it sold for?
