I am willing to bet money that this thread will attract "Carr-haters"® and for the privilege of posting here, they must agree to be publicly humiliated, dressed in the costume of our choosing, and we will say "Ni!" to them. ANYWAY... I would like to be able to discuss Daniel Carr tokens with like-minded people without the encumbrance of the inevitable flame-throwing that will ensue. Please post here (or PM if you'd prefer) if you currently own or are a fan of Mr. Carr's work. I would like to conduct some private threads/PMs if you are interested. Thanks! Ill kick it off- IMO these threads should be restricted to the bullion forum only. After all, those pieces are nothing more than way over-priced bullion for kool-aid drinkers.
"Coin Chat" is for "...discussion of numismatic topics that don't fit in other sections." And to you I say, "Ni!" <slams door in face... but nicely ;-) >
Hey Cascade. I want to talk to people who actually LIKE DC and discuss in a non-public way what they feel is good/bad about the items, what each individual believes their long-term goals are, etc.
There is a already a thread, " POST YOUR DAN CARR TOKENS HERE..." that actually has remained civil for some time now. Moonlightmint.com products have as many that like them, as hate them. I fear this thread will be click bait for both sides. I think they have some very cool products, others, not so much. As always, collect/buy what you want.
I want to take it into a PM session, thereby eliminating the bait... or the "fish" that just have to put in their $0.02... however you want to look at it ;-)
Sorry you are ill, no doubt from continuing to collect the same coins that have only very subtle micro-variances to them. You just described almost every mint in the world for the last couple decades, including the U.S. mint.
I get messages like that from people all the time on various forums especially when new products come out. Feel free to PM me if you want.
Dude!!! You got a like from GDJMSP. That is rarer than a '33 St. Gaudens. And on a Dan Carr thread to boot. You should print a copy and frame it as your rarest numismatic related item.
Almost the same thing can be said for modern conditional rarities Edit... post from ziggy9, not mine.
