A few of the posts made the past few days got me to thinking so I went looking to see if my memory was correct. Sure enough - in your User CP members have the option of uploading a personal picture to their Profile page. Now this may not be for everybody - but for those who wish to allow other members to put a face with the name - it's kind of a fun option I have uploaded mine - Nd has uploaded his - and I encourage those who wish to participate to uploads pics of yourselves as well. It kind of adds to the family atmosphere we have here
The avatar suddenly makes sense GD! You told me a long long time ago back when we were still getting acquainted that it was all in the avatar.
I would if I could be we are all aware of how 'photo-challenged' I am. One of these days I REALLY need to take the time to tinker with that...*sigh*
Hopefully over the next couple of days I will have enough peace & quiet to devote some time to that...I'll see what I can do for ya GD
You had your chance -- she was pictured with Dave Bowers in a Coin World article a couple months ago...
Wow! You remembered that !? LOL...go figure, I was having a bad hair day and not wearing any lipstick! But when Mr. Bowers asks to take your picture you can't exactly say no Actually, now that I think of it...ND is great with pics and I sent him one of Joe & I in a Christmas card. Maybe if he pops in tonight he'd be kind enough to scan and post it for me until I can figure out how to add one to my profile.
He's not the only one that remembered But that doesn't do us much good here now. What you can do Robin is have Nd scan the pic and email it to you. Then all you have to do is upload it to your profile. It's easy really - you'll find where to do this under your Avatar options.
I'll have to find a new picture of me to post here- the one I had in my profile at that other site was me about 50 pounds heavier than I am now. Give me a few days to come up with something.... Rachel
Well I would have to say Joe is one lucky little guy!!! And MOM even collects coins!!! My wife is an avid collector but doesn't spend any time on the forums. She has a Morgan CC collection (actually working on a second set) that is VERY, very high grade and not a slab in the bunch. Really great having a wife and best friend to collect WITH as she understands the value of what I am doing as she is doing the same darn thing! Couldn't get any better than that!
Okay, it's done, I think. I couldn't have started to do it on my own, but my daughter is pretty good at such things and she assures me its now part of my profile. I haven't looked yet, but assume it's there. I like the idea because it's neat to put a face to the names that I've looked at for so many months.
I like it, i like it! She's an example to the coin collecting world. I wish there were more people like that. I was beginning to think i was the last vanguard of coin freedom.
i'm afraid that if i were to post a picture that everyone would be VERY suprised. it is my belief that i am the youngest coin collector on this forum by far. maybe if i get a good pic of me and my sis i'll put it on my profile but that might not happen so don't get ur hopes up. ~Josh~
One of these days I will learn how to reduce the pixel size of a picture, Oh Well,, I will try and post it .
