Going through my cents and found these two....One's a 1919 and the other one I have no clue.....They are old but Really bad shape....What do you guys think? Hold onto them or put em back in a coin roll?
They are rough but only cost one cent. I believe both are 1919's and the one I think is an S mint not that that makes it worth a lot in the condition just throwing on my two cents. No pun intended lol. I'd keep em there's always some youngster that would find them pretty cool either family or friend. Don't roll em up share em and explain about collecting to someone never know they might get the bug too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The one is a 1919, the other looks like 19?9. It is a 1919, or 1929?; I do not see a VDB on the back. As for keeping, that is a decision you need to make. They are worth $0.03 when sold to a coin shop in a lot of Wheat Backs.
Thanks Guys, yeah I think I will keep them....Your right MKent, I can pass them on to some younger collectors .... ( MKent--Throwing in my 2 cents..HAHA!! Loved it ) Yes SchwaVB57, I can't really tell what's on the back of that one too...MKent thinks it's 1919 also so I will go with that.
If you're saving copper cents for bulk copper I'd throw them in there. You'll find better examples in the wild. Even that old. I wouldn't throw them back because like @SchwaVB57 said they're worth more than a cent.
