That looks like some religious medal. Mary with child is most likely Catholic. The other side is probably one of the recent Popes.
Pius X I think (can't quite make out the obverse legend on small pic). Reverse is posted upside down but has Madonna and child. May have had a suspender or loop at one time for wear. Privately made souvenir or religious medal as suggested by Paddyman98.
