i am collecting circulated national park quarters. I recently came across a 2013 New Hampshire "S" mint mark. It's the first "S" I've come across. There isn't even a spot to put it in my collecting book. Is this an error? Rare? Thanks for any info.
There is an S mint that is a proof, so someone took it out of a set and spent it. There is also an S mint that is a silver proof. Which would have more value. As was pointed out to me there are also S business strikes.
Thanks for the info. How would I know if it's a proof or silver proof? Is this true with every state, every year?
national park quarters can also be bought from the mint with "S" mintmarks in 100 coin bags that are not proofs, people buy these to search thru for errors or whatever and leftovers usually go into circulation, i believe you have one of these as it does not look like a proof....https://catalog.usmint.gov/on/deman...detailsOZARKRB=17ABJ&source=detail&Quantity=1
Yes you are right I misread the coin listing. 1. There are S business strikes 2. S proofs 3. and S silver proofs. I have been through many, many THOUSANDS of parks (and states) quarters and have never gotten an S mint.
