P (party) Day at Coin World site

So I'm going to dial in on Thursday night for one last time to have a party and see just how many we can cram into the old hall. I'm buying the refreshments and will expect all the old timers to show up, or else the Queen may have to send the axe-man.

See you at around 7 P.M. MST on the 29th (thursday)

Had trouble with my browser, and my automatic login no longer works. And, I have long since forgotten my password.

But, I'll be there to say goodbye.

I really get the idea however that our new home will be better than the old, especially since so many of us made the trasition.

I just hate making those trips to the Tower Barber shop. They always cut too short. I work at night Old Dan and I'll probably just be getting up at 5:00. And wondering why. Can I get a Royal exemption on that?

Well, all right... I suppose one last visit wouldn't hurt. I might be a little late though, since I don't get off work until after 5. Don't worry longnine, my axe-man is on vacation in the Keys for a few months. It's too darn cold here to send him out!

If you get there at 7PM MST on Thursday you'll be too late. According to Deisher's announcment the forum will close on THURSDAY Dec 30th at 5PM EST. That would be either 2 or 3 PM MST

 

Hey Coin World forum members PLEASE go back to CW and check the latest RUMOR??? I got a little carried away on one post and slammed corporate America and what they are doing to the little guy and apparently I was RIGHT on this one? All I got to say is "If I have to pay to play, well I am staying right here with this forum". Take a second and check out the latest and then PLEASE come back to our new home!!!

 

Even though I only had 6 posts on CW (also under susanlynn9), I found the forum very informative and think it's a shame for it to close. However, I do not see that it is worth $5 per month to keep it going. I'm actually very pleased that everyone seems to be coming here to CT. It's easier to be more active in one forum than in two and of all the forums I participate in, CT is the best I have found. I want to officially welcome all of you from CW who are joining the CT family.

 

I wouldn't put too much stock in that rumor. Can you really see anyone paying $5.00/mo to go an' chat about coins?? OK, maybe GDJMSP, but very few others. I can't even see CW providing their own 7/24 admin, but that's another story.

As we currently know it..the internet is a vast and open playland with more forums than one could shake a stick at no one in their right mind would think of paying for something that was already free........however, I certainly hope that this rumor is not true.......if it works, it could set a dangerous precident for others to follow........just take a look at the way in which things like TV, cable and the music industry has changed to a pay- per view...world.......we could all end up with a srting and a can someday....vowing to the bitter end that we would never pay for such a service........

Yes JD, every great once in a while I get a burr under my saddle and unload the old Winchester more commonly known as my big mouth! Actually it really takes a lot to set me off, as you well know, but some things are JUST worse than WRONG so I get if off my chest! What is really bad is when I find out later that I WAS wrong! Thats a hater!!! As for the forum, well I am here with all my friends and I see far more happening here, across the board, so to speak and I like what I see and read! I am with Catman on this one.
And, you are right about GDJMSP willing to PAY!!! Not a doubt in my mind!
