Maximinus II Daia AE Follis - Genius
    Obverse: Laureate head right
    GAL VAL MAXIMINVS NOB CAES
Reverse: Genius standing left, modius on head, naked except for chlamys over shoulder
holding cornucopia and pouring liquor from patera, ED right - Exergue: ANT
Catalog: RIC VI 118a - Struck 309-310 AD, Antioch Mint
Full name: Gaius Valerius Galerius Maximinus Daia
    Life span: AD 270-313

Gaius Valerius Galerius Maximinus (270 - 313) was a Roman emperor from 308 to 313.
He was born in (now) Bulgaria. Emperor Galerius was his uncle who guided his army career.

After Licinius became an Emperor in 308, Maximinus and Constantine were appointed his "sons".

Maximinus allied with an usurper Maxentius in Italy, then, after his army lost a big battle
with Licinus's army, Maxentius fled and later died either to "despair or poison".

Ah, right! I didn't notice. Maximinus looks very stern in that portrait.
