    Golly, this tet just arrived & it is too big to fit into one photograph ! :D

    OK, Expert photographic techniques were used & we got the entire coin depicted in one photo! To bad that the bull’s horns go off the flan. On the other hand, all the cow’s tasty features (filet mignon, T-Bone, Flank, Porterhouse, Sirloin, etc are all boldly struck.

    THRACE, Byzantion.
    AR Tetradrachm
    357-340 BC
    14.61 gram, 22 mm
    Obv: Bull standing left on dolphin left,
    PY above and Φ monogram
    between bull’s forelegs
    Rev: quadripartite incuse square
    with plethora of dots.
    Grade: EF very well struck with fantastic surfaces on a nice thick flan. Bull’s horns off the flan. Gently toned with zero distracting cleaning marks.
    Other: Byzantine is present day Istanbul of the Bosporus Turkey. Sear 1580; BMC Black Sea 3.12. Infamous surfer cow coin. Negotiated private sale from Pars Coins 6/17. Numismatik Lanz Munich Auction 163 Lot 29 12/16.


    Here’s the new Tet’s little brother (Siglos). Little Siglos has been in the collection for awhile.

    Oh WOW, that is a beauty!

    I have a darkly toned siglos (below) and a very nice half siglos on the way-- should arrive this week. A tet is on the list.... someday :)
