1878CC Morgan Dollar on eBay..Is this authentic?

First off let me say this is the 1st time I have ever questioned the authenticity of a coin. If the seller is a member of this forum this is not intended as an attack on you.

Now for the coin. This one baffles me because I have looked at all the VAMs listed on VAMWorld for 1878CC Morgans (there aren't that many) and I can't find any that match the date position. Are my eyes playing tricks on me or is the date on this coin too far to the right for this year?

Okay I looked again...my eyes were playing tricks on me...I had to download and figure out how to use a grid on it.....I feel so sheeepish

It looks authentic... it looks ugly, but authentic.

 

It's real but not worth the admission fee.

 

Doesn't matter if authentic. In is so damaged. Unc details-- scratched.
