Putting it back into circulation

There was a thread a while back about moving some of the less known currency back into circulation - so I took it as a challenge.

As of today, my 2017 totals are -

$48 in Kennedy Half Dollars spent
$26 in $2 bills (only spending circulated ones, still hoarding UNC)
    $100 in presidential dollar coins
    $40 in SBA dollar coins.

The dollar coins are great for the "self-serve" grocery store kiosks. There's no confusion - as I've run into a couple times. "What are those?" (/soap box mode on!/) Let me tell you what these dollar coins are all about! (Holds up rest of line to explain numismatic history). :woot:

That is pretty neat. I myself wouldnt be able to spend the SBAs or the Kennedys. My mom would never let me spend any of them when i was little and I guess it stuck with me. I put them in Crown bags now when I get any lol.

When the presidential dollars first came out I got rolls at the bank. It was hard to find a nice one that wasn't all beat up. The rejects I spent. One day at the pharmacy the clerk didn't think they were real. She brought them to the owner who told her to take them. She said "It looks like monopoly money".

When I receive change, it either goes into my collection or back into circulation. I don't have a jar so I keep the coins circulating daily.
