You have a BIE Variety. Die break between the B and the E and a Die Chip in the B But you probably know this already.. I want to share this website with you - http://lincolncentresource.com/FAQ/BIE.html
When listing varieties with hand-punched mintmarks, Wexler (and the like) would have been very wise to identify the position in photos. While certainly not a solve-all, in many cases it would allow collectors to exclude certain possibilities from further consideration.
Marching steadily into my third month in the hobby, I did not know of the BIE varieties, with 1500 different ones, I assume it is common? Not knowing of this variety, I thought the damage to the E was a separate issue. Thanks for the link and comments.
I do believe I see the 004 extra eyelid. Have you thought about getting a few more shots of it and of GOD? LIBERTY appears to be plausible and correctly shaped despite being worn and if it is 004, as well as a nice BIE, it is a later die stage than the one shown on Wexlers. Between the wear and later stage, the noted die markers may not be of use to you. They are worth seeing if any trace of them exists. By the way, the coin used to attribute 004 shows a die chip in the B's lower and it looks like the start of your BIE.
I looked for the striations below GOD and above the hairline, there were some, but they did not lay in the same direction as wexlers, if there were some, they have worn away. I will look again. Thanks for the suggestions.
