I was at AU-details. But I see it straight graded.
Are those cleaning scratches that did not factor into the grade?
If they are not cleaning scratches, what caused them?
    Great coin.

I'm still waiting on seeing that Ellington Lincoln found by Ed. Oh, yeah, don't forget your assistant owes us a picture.

Thanks Michael for agreeing with me, for some reason I have to keep proving my grading abilities to despite turning down a job as a entry level grader, I admit that it was not for NGC or for PCGS but it was still a professional company. Also, I'm the 1st one who said this is a details coin so this is even more proof to this forum of my grading abilities.

Duh, Ed, the coin didn't get a details designation. I suppose that DOES demonstrate your grading abilities.

    Now, about that Ellington Lincoln...

Post 6 mentions a market acceptable old cleaning.
I was just trying to figure out about the cleaning scratches since it straight graded.
Are some cleaning scratches allowed and some not? I realize grading is subjective, but there needs to be a little more consistency.

As Cascade said, cleaning was the thing of the past, it is really about what is market acceptable these days.
