    Ask yourself this

1 Do I realy want it
2 Can I afford to keep it

If the answer is yes then keep it, if no then dont :D You are the only person who knows what sort of collection you want to build and if the note fits into your plans.
Yesterday the Mrs & I came across a Scottish £10 been given out in our change, these dont normaly circulate in England & the shop owner was going to swap it for a English note. Now as we could afford it I asked the Mrs if I could have it :D the answer was yes but it was now a Xmas gift :( LOL

So I hope you see what I am getting at, you have that note at face, I dont know if it is worth a premium but someone will be along shortly who will let you know that LOL

i would probaly keep that one becuase its a rarer star note. but if you can't afford to keep it, see if anyone wants to buy it.

I agree with the others, if you really want it and can afford to keep it then by all means put it in a currency sleeve or album and stash it away.

Well, better than spending it, see what you can get for it on eBay. With the new hundreds coming out next year, this could be a keeper... for me anyway. Tee-hee-hee...

I received a star $100 note last spring. I spent it...

I guess I would rather have a hundred dollars to spend than another circulated star note...

A little tougher note there with 320,000 printed in that run but like the others say do you want it that bad and can you afford it?

Not in great shape with a partial teller stamp. I would most likely spend it but there is the option (as mentioned) of offering it on the open forum.

Doubt it would draw a lot on ebay personally.

That star note, if I can see it correctly, is a 2003 from New York. 2,240,000 printed. The 2001 had 320,000 printed.

Premium for the note today is about $10-15 dollars for its condition....with the number printed it will be a long time if any appreciation would occur.

I would try to sell it right away and use the money for something different.

Print out your scan (in color) or better yet, make a better scan without the creases.

Buy an acrylic holder for it ..the ones with 6 screws. Mount it on the wall of your office and when people ask about it ..tell them about the time you found it and posted about it on cointalk. Mention all of the colorful comical answers that people posted and the warm feeling that it gave to realize that folks all over the world cared enough to comment about your star note.

In the meantime, you will be grilling up those burgers that you bought with it.

No one will ever know that it's a stand in for the real deal and you get the enjoyment (story telling milage) and the benifit of the money, buying the burgers.

If someone steals it ..file a claim at work ..they might reimburse you and the poor guy that takes it won't have the gonads to return it after he finds out it aint real.

    Win/win for all involved.

You are correct sir! Where was my brain?

Many more printed and I still doubt you'd get a great premium. Wait until a better one comes along.

I like EVERYTHING on my cheeseburgers by the way!

I like Andrews idea.....scan it, print it, sell it, frame the copy as a keep-sake.

I would probably keep it until I needed to spend it or came across one in better condition.

i don't think the scan and print thing is a real good idea, because of counterfieters.

The scanned and printed copy is for you and you only to frame. The real note I would get rid of. I am sorry if I wasnt clear on that in my previous post.
