Another gimmick from the US Mint. It is Not like they never done this before and just because it is a different Mint Mark doesn't make this special. So what do you all think about this. The sale is going to be on August 1st and limited to 225K. If to me they were going to use silver for other coins then maybe, but They are just plain old coins. Also the director or whatever is in charge with the decision of what to put out for sale needs to be fired.

It's something fun and interesting for those building modern sets. If I were still keeping my sets up to date, I would buy one. I don't think they cost very much.
Might be a problem for those doing albums that already have the holes labeled.
Reminds me of when they came out with the satin finish mint sets.

The "enhanced" coins are completely different from the standard business strike. As different and appealing to me as proofs. I'll get a set if not priced ridiculously.

I'm in for one or two.............if I remember on 'game day'. Heck, even if I don't remember, with mintage numbers like OP mentioned I should have no problem scoring one.

I would prefer a reverse proof with a lower mintage. That said I am happy that they are finally experimenting with some different finishes to breath some life back into these and I get the 225k was symbolic

This set should sell well. It has been a long time since many of these denominations even had an S-mintmarked uncirculated coin, the current ATB quarters sold by the roll, exempted.

I will get one if it doesn't sell out before I get a chance to order one. I like these kind of sets.

My guess is these will sell out quickly. They are different from normal uncirculated or proof coins and they will be priced low enough to attract a large portential buyer pool. Look for large dealers to grab 10,000's at a time...
