I have a 2004 Iowa quarter that has no copper insert in the reeded edge

    i have same thing only its 2004 p michigan , silver color all around edge no copper visable ill post a pic

    I have two examples of the same thy have been xrayed and are totally clad but l would suggest xraying before grading. I've been collecting 40 years do the research then grade. Their not errors to fetch a lot of money but not everyone has them.

    Not a single "coreless" state quarter has been authenticated, to my knowledge. Every one I've examined has been plated outside the Mint. If the small number of coreless dimes provide any indication, the quarter equivalent should be significantly underweight.

    I have a odd looking one too it's mint is s I think it's silver the edge looks to have no copper in it

    It's plated - no photo
    needed in this case.

    The weight is 1/10 of a gram
    more than a normal clad quarter -
    that's the plating.
