Information regarding the INCO and Gould coin composition tests of 1964-65 and 1977-78 is actively solicited as part of a detailed research project on these "private pattern pieces."

I'm looking for documents, personal recollections, sample pieces and any other information collectors might have available. Appropriate credit will be given in the article.

The research will clarify, update and correct Andrew Pollock's published material. It will also provide collectors with a factual basis for examining their examples, and better understanding how they were created and used.

I've written letters to Mr. Crawford and a couple of others connected with the INCO project. Not sure I have the correct people, though. Most are in their mid-80s. Not sure what information is out there after so long, but time is critical for contacting participants.
