I found the illusive 50-D nickel in a CWR just this weekend. Persistence can (sometimes) pay off in this hobby. The "D" is hard to make out in the photo, but it's definitely there. :)

In addition to that particular hole filler, here's what I pulled in this week:

    $50 BWR Cents: 35, 40 (x2), 44, 44-D, 47-S, 50-D (x2), 51, 51-S, 52-D, 57-D, 58 (x2), 58-D (x2), 63 counter-stamped with "War or Peace", and 1039 copper cents

    $100 CWR Nickels: 40 (x3), 40-S, 41, 41-S, 46, 47 (x2), 48, 49 (x2), 50-D, 53, 54-D (x2), 55-D (x3), 56-D, 57-D (x2), 59, 59-D (x3), 2009-D, a 44-P war nickel, a dateless buffalo, and very faint buffalo that looks like 1920.

    $200 CWR Dimes: 1952, 1962-D

All in all, I'm a happy hunter this week.

On my second CRH try, I went through 9 rolls of pennies and found a lot, but here were my best finds:

    1940-D
    3 1969s (P, P, D)
    A dime (Score! Free money)
And a wierd little thing that looks like a badge. It's shaped like a shield, a little bit less than the size of the shield on the 2010+ pennies, and very thin.

I'm getting a roll of halves tomorrow to see what I can find...

Alright. I got a couple unusual finds. So today I was at work, pulled a 2009 nickel, and penny. Got a 1980, 81 D that are possible woodies, then a 1982 d small date zinc. Then I went to the coin star. Got a hand full of free change, got me a golden colored angel coin (not sure where it came from or what it is. A Canada 2009 quarter (women's hockey feminin) car wash token, and a 1961 Philadelphia dime. (Silver) Also where I found the 1952 s soldered coin IMG_1516.JPG IMG_1522.JPG IMG_1520.JPG IMG_1526.JPG IMG_1524.JPG IMG_1505.JPG

What a coincidence, I also have that angel coin. Found it in a jar of coins a few years back, I don't know what it represents or why it was made. Very cheap, light metal used to mint it.

I never had transportation to get to the bank yesterday.
    So today is coinless. Sigh.

I was able to erase a few needs from coins around here.
But tomorrow I'll get 20 'new rolls of pennies.

    Nice going!! :)

Your 50-D is about in the same condition as mine. Mine has more dings, but a stronger D.

    Well done! :)

Went to both banks this morning. Got 5$ CWR pennies at the second bank and 5$ MWR pennies at the primary bank.

2$ into the CWR hasn't given up anything. But hope springs eternal...

My most recent finds! Nothing too exciting, although I thought it was pretty cool to find almost uncirculated-looking 84-D and 85-D quarters next to each other.

$180 in CWR halves. Nothing, someone's dump most likely. Girlfriend got $250 in CWR halves from another bank same story. Makes me wonder about CWR. I have had success with them only once. All the others have been total busts. I keep hoping for that whole roll of Frankie's to show up but I Probably have a better chance of getting a Royal Flush in a game of 5 card stud.

$30 MWR 5c yielded 2 62Ds and a 2014 5c Euro from Spain. It has a M mintmark so I'm gonna assume that's Madrid. I'm not sure if it's on all of them, but I'd assume so since it's not a terribly large country that would require more than one mint. Either way it's a cool find and my first of this kind CRH IMG_0989.JPG

12 rolls down. Several updates. But 09 are fairly rare.
89, 87 and 85 are tough to find with the correct mint mark or clean examples. Similar with 71.
But things aren't so bad anyway.

It's not a bad idea to toss the low mintage coins in a jar and forget about them. I do it just for my sons future generations to have something someday. I remember my grandfather showing me old libertys, horseblankets, old star notes... he knew what was up.

Last couple of weeks have been skunk boxes , a 40% here or there..... This week I had twelve boxes to search. Six boxes were skunks. Noticing that I am getting boxes from different Loomis locations.
Our area is stamped with 4597, this week I got unmarked, 4033 and 6207.
The best box had six Enders, I put them smack dab in the middle so you can see them.
    Anyway, found the following
    Clad Proofs: 81s, 2-88s, 1-92s, 1-93s
    90%ers: 7-Kennedys 5-Franklins, 2-Walkers
    40%ers: 95-Kennedy
