As some of you know, I work part-time in a coin shop. I sometimes get first crack at certain less valuable items, and last Saturday I spotted these bills and bought them at the store's retail price of $1 over face. I was interested in all of the signature combinations that although the same, are different series, and I found the reason that they did it to be very interesting. Now, I am no expert on currency and I only have a very small collection, but I buy what I like and I tend to keep it rather than try to sell it. So, I ask you, the currency collectors here on CT, How did I do?
Nice bills. I miss the 80s and early 90s when my Mom would get tons of silver, silver certificates, red notes and whatever else in change at her job at the time *Thrifty Drug*, she'd always buy it for face and bring them home to me. Now I rarely get anything prior to the 80s in change or currency in my own change.
All are somewhat common, but i cant argue on a dollar over face, i think the $5 Silver certificate is your best get there condition is good in comparison the the $2,s.
