Hey All, I just updated my Counterfeit Detection website today with a ton of new stuff. There is also a Counterfeit Detection Forum! Check it out here - http://www.numismaticenquirer.com
For some reason the site doesn't want to load on my dial up internet....I'll check it out again next time I'm on my Bro-in-law's cable internet! Speedy
Thanks for the link Harrison, I look forward to spending some time looking at your site! Quick question from a sentence on your web site: " The 1944 nickels were quickly spotted since Henning neglected to add the large mint mark of the Philadelphia mint (P). He also made counterfeit nickels dated 1939, 1946, 1947 and 1953." This may be on the web site also and if so please just direct me there. Can you (or how can you) identify a 39, 46, 47, or 53 as a henning nickel? The 44 is easy, are the others identifiable in any way? Thanks again for the great post. Darryl
I believe all of Henning's counterfeits had that Looped R, which can be seen in the 44 closeup, but then again I've never owned one of Hennings other counterfeits nickels (only the 44), yet. Enjoy! Harrison
