They could use some toning. Just send them to me, I have an Abafil case that will do a nice job of that in only only 5 years or so.
Agree on toning. Actually one of the dealers I bought from lamented that they were so shiny. I've just decided to go for Abafil so I'll be picking some trays up next week. But thanks for the offer ;-)
[Drat!] But, um... uh... it's only OLD Abafil trays that tone. [?] Yeah, that's it! Only the nice old ones like mine. You still need to send them to me.
Wonderful OP coins...all winners. As far as toning, I've also heard coins will tone in paper envelopes...even the acid free kind. So far I have to say my experience bears that out. In only a few months I've noticed some coins start to show hints of colorful toning. It's only very subtle though, so the whole process will require a few years (probably as long as it does in the trays)...but there is no fast solution to shinny coins unless you want to doctor them with chemicals, which I'm not willing to do.
Well, the Venus/Trophy has some of the CAESAR legend off-flan... a common problem for these, but hey, as the song goes, two out of three ain't bad. That's actually a really small nit to pick... to be honest, I'd be more than proud to own any of them .
