Picked up this Bausch and Lomb "Stereo Zoom" microscope at the Colorado Springs show. I had no idea what I was missing - a third dimension! I never thought about it, but macro images and the view through a loupe are only 2-D. The rest gets filled in by the brain. With this thing, I'll never use my brain again! The photos of the IHC were taken on my phone through one of the eye pieces at max and min zoom.
Much more realistic and useful experience, and much less tiring than a loupe or other conventional magnifiers. Many have told me that for years they only thought they were really seeing their coins after playing with a good stereo. If you set your zoom on your camera phone to something like 1.4-2, you'll like what happens. Your glass is very clean.
Very nice pictures, but they remind me of the old silent b/w movies which were shot with a circular view.
