This is a trivia question . If you came across this coin would you have bought it . Keep in mind, I'm variety hunting .. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-s-eise...zdIAAOqLp3n9dGw14wwhc%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc
Yes to most but I like Eisenhowers. I'm gun shy when it comes to buying coins though. I like to hold the coin, but that's just me
No, but then I'm not familiar with nor looking for Ikes. BUT There are coins on eBay that I WOULD buy whereas most (all?) people would have passed on them. I'm trying to find images of one in particular but I can't find them. Maybe I haven't imaged it yet. I'll revisit this post later when I get my act together.
That was a deal even if it were 40%. I don't see any way you could lose and don't even want to think how many times I pretty much flushed 70 bucks pursuing fleeting amusement, much less 7 bucks. I suspect I have a notion of which one it may be and the only thing I can say is, had I been looking, I'd have popped it out from under you!
Ordinary Fool, posted: "I suspect I have a notion of which one it may be and the only thing I can say is, had I been looking, I'd have popped it out from under you!" You sly "Cherrypicker!" You knew all the time (I have a notion) what this coin was and just wanted to give the rest of us a chance to figure it out for ourselves. I'd buy it also as I have a notion that it is a "Peg Leg" Proof.
Hush, I'm trying to skull copulate Rick into agreeing to allow me to "help" him with his future post-listing surveys by sending me such potential pick listings PRIOR so I will be able to provide him with much more meaningful answers to his questions on the front side. IF I outbid him, the answers to these types of surveys will become much more...... ummm. empirical, if not imperial! You would have picked it for the wrong "pegleg" reason unless I am reading this coin and price guides incorrectly. 301 or 302 and neither is out of the park, but, a hit towards walking around money.
Coneca DDR #1 .. Here's some image of the A & R of DOLLAR http://varietyvista.com/13 Eisenhower Dollars/1972SDDR001.htm
Rick, c'mon over here, pal. Here, have a triple long island tea on me. Lemme talk to you about sending me links to these listings before they end so I can really help you out betterly with your post-auction survey results. Seriously breaux, I wanna help you out, which way did you come in?
Have another long island tea (sub jack please) and we'll discuss my brilliant idea while your gloating, which has escalated to pounding salt into open wounds or other places remains ongoing. DCAM, basteegie.
Really close and the CAM was enough I'd have hit it even if not suspect. There are two attributed varieties/divas of that coin, and then a "normal" coin. Process of elimination.
