Low mint mark

    No. At that time the mintmark was punched into each die by hand and they have a tendence to "wander". If it is in the right area and it isn't touching any of the lettering or design it is considered normal.

    That's the first one I've found that low so I wasn't sure. Thanks for the information.

    But keep an eye out for the 1975-D High D. The D is touching the 5, Q. David Bowers offers $1,000 for an uncirculated example. But he might of gotten one already.
