I saw that, but I cannot for the life of me see it on the coin. I think it's concave rather than a raised and looks like a dot in the image.
That's too bad. It would have been a DC. I think you need to post it on VAMworld and see what the 21-S guys have to say.
+1 Give us an update if/when u get it figured out. I think there would be some interest on account of the circular die polish
Yeah. Throw it on VW first and send to messydesk if we can't figure it out. However your pics, while awesome, tend to hide subtle details so detailed close ups of clashing areas, scribbles area and any other points of interest would be helpful.
Thanks guys. I'll try to get it on VW. I know they don't like large images over there, so should I just link to the large images? The images above show off all the areas that might be helpful. I've looked it over with a fine tooth comb and there appears to be no evidence of clashing or scribbles. The main pick-ups appear to be the die file lines on the obverse and a few die cracks on the reverse.
1000px in diameter with your equipment will suffice even for full-face images. You're familiar with image upload and posting there, right? It's kinda klunky, and don't forget unique identifiers in the filename so it doesn't overwrite someone else's work.
I host all my own images for VW. That way I don't take a chance of overwriting someone else's images. I posted 625x625 images for reference and then html links to the full resolution images. It is very clunky. I just found out that you don't need to add the html markup for links, you can just post the html address. I sure wish I could edit a post. Oh well.
